Lunch Program

PLEASE SUPPORT OUR LUNCH PROGRAM BY EATING WITH US; CHECK THE MONTHLY MENU FOR YOUR FAVORITE MEALS.

Our lunch program provides students with a nutritionally balanced meal and a variety of menus. The cost of hot lunch is $2.75 and includes milk, juice or water. Milk or water purchased separately is 50 cents and juice is 30 cents. Monthly menus are available for students to take home and are also published in the local newspaper. All students report to the cafeteria and students who bring their lunch may purchase milk, water or juice. Parents should insure that a student's lunch money is provided, preferably by the week or month. Envelopes are provided. While no child will ever be denied a lunch at our school, we ask that parents be responsible for maintaining a positive balance in their child's lunch account. Excessive debt balances may result in a phone inquiry to parents. We ask that parents do all they can to help keep us from making this phone call.

Free and Reduced Lunch

Free and reduced price programs are available for qualified families. Forms are sent to all families. If you need a form, they are available in the Main Office throughout the year.

The following rules, are observed in the cafeteria:

1. Students wait in line in a quiet and orderly fashion

2. Talking at the tables must be done in a quiet manner

3. Any disruptive behavior could result in loss of lunchroom privilege.

Parents who prefer that their children not eat lunch should discuss this with the school nurse. Snacks sent to school should be healthy and nutritious. We recommend snacks such as fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese, water, etc. No glass containers are allowed anywhere in the school (for safety reasons).

Free and Reduced Lunch Applications are available all year round in the front office. All information is confidential.

PLEASE: No glass containers in the cafeteria. Send drinks in a thermos or plastic bottle. Water (great for the brain and free) and milk or bottled water (50 cents) and juice (30 cents) are both available.
