CLUBS |
Tisbury is fortunate to be able to offer after school enrichment for students. Our library will also be open three days a week after school. If you have ideas for classes or know someone who would like to teach a class, please let us know.

Chess Club is an eight week program open to all children in grades K-8. There are two levels: beginner and intermediate/advanced. It is a great opportunity to learn the rules, explore new strategies, and play with other children across the grade levels. Faculty advisor is Mrs. Herman.
Computer Club (1-3) |
For ten weeks this spring, twenty students in grades 1-3 were able to participate in an after-school computer club. The enthusiasm for this club was great, as we received more responses than we had the space for. The students had fun using various software and web-based, age appropriate games, including "I Spy" from Scholastic. They were also able to complete a colorful Kid Pix drawing & writing project to give to their special "mom" for Mother's Day. We had lots of fun together and I hope the opportunity for the "Little Lab computer club" will continue next year.
Computer Club (5-8) |
The Upstairs Computer Lab hosts the Club from October through April. We meet Mondays from 2:45-3:45 PM. Contact Ms. Conroy for more details.
Homework Club |
Homework Club is available to help and encourage those students who are having difficulty completing their work at home. The Homework Club is for grades 3-8 and it is held for 45 minutes after school Monday through Thursday.

Tisbury Tiger Talk |

Tisbury Tiger Talk is Tisbury School's student driven morning television program. Every day, a group of 5th through 8th graders meet in the Tiger Talk studio before school starts. Students prepare for the show, rehearse, and take digital photographs of different things around the school. The show begins at 8:21, with student anchors saying the announcements of the day. Students run the camera, switch box, and computer. Any student or staff member with a birthday joins the anchors for the Pledge of Allegiance. Students who receive their 3rd grade gold medal also get recognized on the show.
Tiger Talk allows students an opportunity which integrates technology with public speaking, decision-making, and art. Throughout the year they are able to use as many as four different types of cameras. Those students chosen for anchor positions get practice in public speaking, as well as thinking on their feet -- for Tiger Talk is a LIVE production! Faculty advisors are Ms. Burke & Ms. Leonard.
Yearbook |
The Yearbook Club is a year long activity. Members take photographs of school events, teachers, and try to capture candid shots. Members of the club also organize the many digital photographs taken (over 2000, at least!), and lay them out in collage form. Stay tuned for when the yearbooks will be available for sale! Faculty advisor is Ms. Conroy.
