President: Preside at meetings of the organization and executive board committee. The President is the primary contact for the principal and or administration. Coordinate the work of the officers and committees
Vice President: Aid to the president and perform duties of the president in their absence or inability to serve
Secretary: Record the minutes of all meetings and file in designated location at school. Submit information to Tiger Tales regarding PTO events, etc.
Treasurer: Responsible for the compliance of the organization's filing requirements with the IRS as outlined for Non-Profit Organizations for Charitable Purposes as well as the annual financial report filed with the Massachusetts Division of Public Charities. Receives all monies of the organization, keeps accurate records of receipts and expenditures and pay funds in accordance with bylaws. Presents financial statements to the executive board committee at meetings and make a full report at the end of the school year.
Class Rep Officer/Volunteer Coordinator: Organize the master volunteer list, committee lists and room parent list. The officer is the liaison between teachers and class parents. Helps organize parents for PTO functions.
Cultural Arts Officer: Propose cultural events to the PTO and Principal, which provide student enrichment. Events may include an artist in residence, musical or theatrical programs, etc.
Parent Education Officer: Coordinate PTO sponsored educational programs for parents and teachers. The Education Officer will work with the PTO Teacher Representative.
Fundraising Officer: Organize fundraising committee and fundraising activities
Health/Safety Officer & Wellness Committee Rep: Officer is the liaison between school nurse and parents. The Health and Safety Officer will be the PTO representative for the School Wellness Committee. The officer will work with the school nurse on health related activities and/or safety issues.
SAC Representative: Parent Representative on SAC Committee. The SAC representative will attend PTO meetings and report on the committeeÕs School Improvement Plan for the fiscal year.
K-4 & 5-8 Teacher Representatives: Teacher Representatives will attend PTO meetings and work with the Education Officer on PTO sponsored educational programs.
