School Improvement Plan
School Advisory Council
The School Advisory Council remains an important part of our school's overall functioning. It is a representative, school building-based committee composed of the principal, parents, teachers, and community members pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 71, Section 59C. Our school council has a role in shaping the policies and programs of the school. Primarily, it is charged with four major areas of responsibility:
1 - Adopting educational goals for the Tisbury School that are consistent with
local educational policies and statewide student performance standards.
2 - Identifying the educational needs of our students.
3 - Reviewing the annual school budget.
4 - Formulating school improvement plan goals.
